Q. I updated to the latest version and it looks like my client information was erased! What happened?
A. Actually, no data was lost during the update even though it looks
this way. A newer version might have a minor bug that will mark some
clients as inactive during the update. The fix is to:
1. Bring up 'Manage Clients'
2. Note the clients with grayed icons (company or person).
3. Select these clients, and press the 'active' button'.
4. Close 'Manage Clients'.
Your clients and their projects will now be visible.
Q. Does
MacFreelance include invoice templates?
A. Yes, invoice
templates are pre-loaded into MacFreelance. You just need to pick
the invoice style you like in Preferences. You can also customize
the invoices by placing your logo on them, or generate quotes before
actually getting hired by a client. MacFreelance makes it easy to
quickly print, PDF or email your quotes and invoices to your
clients.
Q. Can I create more than one company that I can
bill clients from?
A. Yes, you can
create as many different companies as you have; apply different
taxes to each company, assign specific clients to a particular
company; generate company specific quotes and invoices from
templates assigned to each company, and base different charges on
the services offered by your different companies. The flexible
options are entirely in your hands.
Q. Does MacFreelance include reporting tools?
A. Absolutely! The current reports that are supported in MacFreelance
are The following report types are currently supported in
MacFreelance: Clients, Open Projects, Billed Projects, Paid
Projects, Billed and Paid Projects, Payments, Advances, Taxes
Collected, Discounts, Adjustments, Expenses by Projects, Expenses by
Clients, and other Custom reports of your making.
