Q. Is there an update that will make MediaEdit Pro compatible with Panther and Tiger?

A. Yes, click here to update MediaEdit Pro to Panther and Tiger.

A. If the video capture does not capture out of the box (or captures incorrectly), try deleting MediaEdit Pro's preference file from ~/Library/Preferences/MediaEdit ... Prefs.

Then try to connect your camera at different times (i.e. after capture window opens or before it opens).

Q. Where can I find the picture in picture feature?

A. Open the Movie Editor and then double click on the clip you would like to edit. Once the Movie Editor is opened, you may now follow the instructions in the manual to place the movie over your clip (picture in picture).

Q. Can I convert my movie to DVD instead of QuickTime?

A. Yes, you can export your movie to any of MediaEdit Pro's supported formats, but not directly to DVD because MediaEdit Pro is not a DVD authoring software.

To export your movie to DVD, export your movie to a DV file (File->Export Movie; Choose Movie to DV Stream) and then export the movie to iDVD or DVD Studio Pro in a supported format like MPEG or QuickTime.

Q. Can I export the videos directly to iDVD or DVD Studio Pro?

A. Yes, MediaEdit Pro will allow you to export your videos directly to iDVD and DVDStudio Pro since both of these programs support formats like MPEG and QuickTime.
